Chem Whiz ಎಂಬುದು ರುಚಿಯಾದ ರಸಾಯನ ಸವಿಯಲು ತರೆದುಕೊಂಡ ನಲ್ಮೆಯ ಪಾಕಶಾಲೆ. ಪ್ರತಿವರ್ಷವೂ ಆಕರ್ಷಕ ವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕ ಅಡಕಗಳೊಡೆ ಸಿದ್ಧಗೊಳ್ಳುವ ರಸಾಯನದ (CHEM) ಮಧುರ ಸುಳಿಗಾಳಿಯು (WHIZ) ಇಂದು ಅಂತರ್ಜಾಲದ

ಮೂಲಕ ತನ್ನ ಕಂಪನ್ನು ಹಾಗೂ ಇಂಪನ್ನು ಆಸ್ವಾದಿಸಲು ಎಲ್ಲೆಡೆ ಲಭ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಸಂತಸದ ಸಂಗತಿ.

ಅಘನಾಶಿನಿ ತಟದ , ಹಚ್ಚ ಹಸಿರಿನ ಭತ್ತರಾಶಿ ಗುಡ್ಡದ ಮೇಲೆ, ಕಲಾತ್ಮಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಛಾಯಾಚಿತ್ರಗ್ರಾಹಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ನಾಗೇಂದ್ರ ಮುತ್ಮುರ್ಡು ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸೆರೆಹಿಡಿದ ೨೦೧೫ ರ ರಸಬಳಗದ ಛಾಯಾಚಿತ್ರವು ಇನ್ನೂ ಮನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಷ್ಟೇ ಹಚ್ಚ ಹಸಿರಾಗಿದೆ. 

CHEM-WHIZ ನಂತಹ ಸೃಜನಶೀಲ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ರಸಾಯನಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದ ಕಲಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹಾಗೂ ಕಲಾಸ್ವಾದನೆಯನ್ನು ಆಹ್ಲಾದಕರವಾಗಿಸಿದ ರಸಬಳಗದ ಪೋಷಕರಾದ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಸಂಪಾದಕರಾದ ಡಾ ಗಣೇಶ ಹೆಗಡೆ ಸರ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ವಂದನೆಗಳು‌.

ತರಗತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತು ಅದಾವುದೋ ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲೋ, ಲೆಕ್ಚರರ್ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ನೋಟ್ಸ್ ನಲ್ಲೋ ಕೆಮಿಸ್ಟ್ರಿ ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದವರೂ, 

ವಾರಕ್ಕೊಮ್ಮೆ ಲ್ಯಾಬ್ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತು  ಅಲ್ಲಿಯ ಚಿತ್ರ ವಿಚಿತ್ರ ದ್ರಾವಣಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಪುಡಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ನೋಡುತ್ತಾ, ಕೈ ಸುಟ್ಟೀತೆಂದು 
ಹೆದರುತ್ತಾ ಇದೇ ಕೆಮಿಸ್ಟ್ರಿ ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಿದ್ದವರೂ ನಾವಾಗಿದ್ದಾಗ, ಅದೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಮೀರಿ ರಸಾಯನಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದ ರಸವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚೆಚ್ಚು ಆಸ್ವಾದಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು chem whiz ನಂತಹ ಸೃಜನಶೀಲ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆ.

ಆಗ ಬಿತ್ತಿದ ಬೀಜವೊಂದು ಮೊಳಕೆಯೊಡೆದು, ಗಿಡವಾಗಿ, ಮರವಾಗಿ ಹೂಬಿಡುವ ಬೆರಗಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿ ಹನಿಯೂ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗುವುದೇ ಒಂದು ಸಂಭ್ರಮ. ಆ ಅವಕಾಶಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳು.

 ಹೂಬಿಟ್ಟ ಮರ ಸಿಹಿ ಹಣ್ಣನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಹಂಚುತ್ತಿರಲಿ-  ಎಂಬ ಹಾರೈಕೆ ನಮ್ಮದು.

The initiative of bringing creative ideas involving chemistry has been a great opportunity for everyone to showcase their talent apart from regular study/curriculum. Intrigued to be a part of it, we were the first batch to get on board. Collaborative works we did was great experience.

So far it was limited to only active students. Now online platform could be an amazing medium to reach many folks and to attract greater brilliant ideas to make Chem whiz more successful.

ಕೆಮ್-ವಿಝ್(ರಸಬಳಗ) ದ ಅನುಭವಗಳು ನಮ್ಮ ಕಾಲೇಜು ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ತಮ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಪಡೆಯುವಲ್ಲಿ
ಸಹಾಯಕವಾಗಿರುವುದೊಂದೇ ಅಲ್ಲದೆ, ಕಾಲೇಜು ದಿನಗಳ ನಂತರ ನಮ್ಮ ದಿನನಿತ್ಯದ ಉದ್ಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ ತುಂಬಾ ಸಹಾಯಕವಾಗಿದೆ.  ಉದಾಹರಣೆಗೆ ಟೀಮ್ ವರ್ಕ್ ಮಾಡುವ ವಿಧಾನ, ಸಂಶೋಧನಾತ್ಮಕ ಮನಸ್ಥಿತಿ.

                                                                                 

ಇಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಸಮಾನ ಮನಸ್ಕ ಗೆಳೆಯರು ಹಾಗೂ ಗುರುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೆಮ್-ವಿಝ್(ರಸಬಳಗ) ನೀಡಿದೆ, ರಸಾಯನಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಆಸಕ್ತಿ ಮೂಡಲು ಕೆಮ್-ವಿಝ್ ಒಂದು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿತ್ತು.

“ಕೆಮ್-ವಿಝ್”ನ ವೆಬ್ ಅವತರಿಣಿಕೆ ಒಂದು ಸೃಜನಶೀಲ ಆಲೋಚನೆ.  ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಇದರಿಂದ ವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಆಸಕ್ತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹ ದೊರೆಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಕೆಮ್-ವಿಝ್ ವೆಬ್ ಅವತರಿಣಿಕೆ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಎಲ್ಲ ವಿಭಾಗದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಇಂತಹ ವೇದಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಣೆ ನೀಡಲಿ ಎಂದು ಆಶಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.

The concept of Chem-Whiz itself is exciting. It combines the Science and Arts, so that the students will experience the 'Art of Science '.

"Chem-Whiz" - here along with Chemistry, I got to know the actual '
chemistry' of hidden talents and interests of my own self.

While compiling things for magazine we enjoyed the subject unlike our regular academic learning.

A new concept of 'Chem- Comic ' was introduced in our batch's magazine, wherein the (so called) boring chemical reactions had turned into our favourite comic characters...!!

Even we had an opportunity to meet a well-known comic artist "ನೀಗ". That was a beautiful trip to the artistic world.

Moreover the cherishing moments and memories we had in that process are countless...

Getting our chem-whiz as a blog is too good. So that everyone can get its benefit. We are all eagerly waiting for this innovation.

I perceive "Chemistry" as a perfect blend of arts and science and "Chem-Whiz" challenges to carve out an artist out of our scientific mind.

It has taken us through a 'dreamy' journey across the 'honeycombs' of "Chem-toons" and tied us all with the magical threads of "Neega" - the joy of which is unspeakable.

A great initiative to dynamise Chem-Whiz activities. Hearty thanks for making this happen and loads of best wishes to all.

ಐದು ವರ್ಷ‍ ಕಳೆದರೂ ಕಳೆ ಹಾಗೇ ಇರುವುದು ನೆಲದ ಸತ್ವ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿದೆ .

ಅಂತಹದ್ದೇನಿಲ್ಲ ಆದರೂ ಈಗ ಬರೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಅನ್ನುವುದೇ ಅದರ ಮಹತ್ವ ತಿಳಿಸಬಹುದು ಎಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತ, ಹೊಸರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ ರಸಬಳಗವನ್ನು sync ಮಾಡಹೊರಟಿರುವುದು ಖುಷಿಯ ವಿಷಯ. ...ಹೊಸ ಚಿಗುರಿನ ಈ syncing ಸಿಂಕಿಗೆ ಸಿಲುಕಿ ಕಳೆದುಹೋಗಬಹುದಾದ್ದ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನ ಹಳೆಬೇರಿಗೆ ಹೊಸ ಹಸಿರೆಲೆ ಸತ್ವ ಬೇಕಾದಾಗ ಸಿಗುವಂತೆ sync ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ನವಿರಾದ ಅರಿವಿನ ಅನುಭವದಿಂದ ಎಂದು ಭಾವಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ.

ರಸಾಸ್ವಾದವು ಹೀಗೇ ಅನ್ನುವಂತಿಲ್ಲ, 'ಗಮನಿಸುವಿಕೆ'ಯಿಂದ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಅದ್ಭುತವಾದ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅರ್ಥೈಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದು ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಇವತ್ತಿಗೂ ಕಲಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಈ 'ರಸ-ಬಳಗ' ದಿಂದ.ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನೆನೆಯಲೇ ಬೇಕಾಗಿದ್ದು ಈ ಬಳಗದ ಗುರು ವೃಂದವನ್ನ.

Chem Whiz was a project that we undertook to come up with an amalgamation of chemistry and art. Participating in this creative project paved the way to pursue my interest in chemistry which I never knew I had. Interviewing a great artist like "neega" was a wonderful experience in its own way. 

This project made me feel that scientists of chemistry are essentially artists who know the art of inventing new molecules from the known ones just the way an artist comes up with a new color by mixing up to colors. I feel a way of learning chemistry is way more fun than classroom learning. It's too fantastic to have our chem-wiz as a blog. All of us are eagerly anticipating this invention.

For me, Chem Whiz was a platform to explore the world of Chemistry beyond classrooms. Interviews with renowned persons gave us of idea about diverse applications of chemistry. I cherish the

collaborative work we did during Chem Whiz period. 

Chem whiz blog can be a wonderful platform as there’s ample of opportunity to Chem Whiz minds (past and current) to exchange innovative ideas and suggestions.

ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಅನುಭವಗಳ ಪಟ್ಟಿ ತಯಾರಿಸಲು ಹೊರಟಾಗ ಅನಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಪಡೆದ ಅನುಭವಗಳೆಲ್ಲವೂ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟವಾದವುಗಳೇ ಅಲ್ಲವೇ ಅಂತ. ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿರುವುದಲ್ಲ. ಪದವಿಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶ ಪಡೆದಾಗ ಪ್ರೊಫೆಸರ್ಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಇದ್ದ ಗೌರವ ಸಂಕೋಚವನ್ನೂ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಕರೆತಂದಿತ್ತು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ. ರಸಬಳಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳೆದ ಸಮಯ ಆ ಸಂಕೋಚವನ್ನ ದೂರಮಾಡಿತ್ತು.

ಅದೇನು ದೊಡ್ಡ ವಿಷಯ ಎಂದನಿಸಬಹುದು. ಹಸಿದವನಲ್ಲಿನ ಸಂಕೊಚದ ಭಾವ ಅವನ ಹಸಿವನ್ನ ನೀಗಿಸಲಾರದು ಎಂಬಂತೆ- ಮುಕ್ತಮಾತುಕತೆಯ ಅಗತ್ಯತೆ ಅರಿವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಆಗ. ಮೊದಲೇ ಈ ರಸಬಳಗಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಬೇಕು ಅಂತ ತುಂಬಾ ಆಸೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆಸಕ್ತಿ ಇತ್ತು ಎಂದೆಲ್ಲ ಹೇಳಲಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ಅದರಿಂದ 'ಭೌತಿಕ'ವಾಗಿ ಹೊರಬರುವಾಗ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಸಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಸ್ಪೂರ್ತಿ ನೀಡಿತ್ತು ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ಯಾವುದೇ ಸಂಕೋಚವಿಲ್ಲದೇ ಹೇಳಬಲ್ಲೆ.

ವೆಂಕಣ್ಣನಮನೆಯಕಲಾಪ್ರವಾಸ ..ಉಫ್..ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಶುರುಮಾಡಿ ಮುಗಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂಬುದೇ ಗೊಂದಲವಿಲ್ಲಿ. ಕಲಾವಿದನ ಜೀವನ ಮತ್ತು ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲೆ ಈ ಎರಡನ್ನೂ ಅತಿ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ಗಮನಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಅರಿತದ್ದು ಅಲ್ಲೇ. ಕತ್ತಲೆಕೋಣೆಯ ಗೋಡೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ವಾಸ್ತವವನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುವ 'realistic painting' ಗಳು, ಕ್ರಮಬದ್ಧವಾದ ಗಾಜಿನಬಾಟಲಿಗಳ ಜೋಡಣೆ, ಅದು ಇದು ಅಂತಲ್ಲ, ಎಲ್ಲದರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ವೈಶಿಷ್ಟ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುವ ಆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಸ್ತುಗಳು ನೂರು ವಿಚಾರಗಳ ಮನದಲ್ಲಿಮೂಡಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಆವಿಚಾರಗಳು ಅನಾಯಾಸವಾಗಿ 'ಸಂಕೋಚ' ವಿಲ್ಲದೇ ಮೂಡಲು ಕಾರಣ ಈ ರಸಬಳಗವೇ ಹೌದು. ಬಳಗದಲ್ಲಿನ ಸಹಪಾಠಿ ಮಿತ್ರರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುವುದೇನಿಲ್ಲ.

ಕೆಲವು ವಿಚಾರಗಳನ್ನ ಪದಗಳ ಸೀಮೆಯ ಒಳಗೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ವಿವರಿಸುವುದು ಕಷ್ಟಸಾಧ್ಯ. ಅಂತಹವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೂ ಒಂದು. ಗಾಳಿಮಾತು(ಗಾಸಿಪ್) ಗಳು, ಲಾಜಿಕ್ಇಲ್ಲದೇ ನಡೆಸಿದ ಅದೆಷ್ಟೋ ಮಾತುಕತೆಗಳು, ರಸವತ್ತವಾದ ತಿನಿಸುಗಳನ್ನು ಮೆಲುಕುಹಾಕುತ್ತಾ, ಮೆಲುಕುಹಾಕಿದ ಅದೆಷ್ಟೋ ಕಥೆಗಳು, ಇವೆಲ್ಲದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಅಪರಿಮಿತವಾದ ತುಂಟತನ .ಇವೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಕೇವಲಸ್ಯಾಂಪಲ್ಅಷ್ಟೇ.

ಕೊನೆಯದಾಗಿ; 'ರಸ' ಬಳಗಕಲಿಸಿದ್ದು 'ರಸ'ಭರಿತ ಜೀವನವನ್ನ ಚಪ್ಪರಿಸುವ ಅಗತ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನ..ಚಪ್ಪರಿಸುವ ಪರಿಯನ್ನ..

ನೂತನ ವೆಬ್ಅವತರಣಿಕೆ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ; ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನದ ಬಳಕೆ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಲು ಅನುವು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡುವುದರಿಂದ ಕೆಮ್ವಿಝ್ನ ಹೊಸ ವೆಬ್ಆಯಾಮವನ್ನು ನೋಡಲು ಉತ್ಸುಕತೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿದೆ.

We had been to Tyagali near siddapur as part of chem-whiz, to have an interview regarding organic farming, and that was one of the best days of my graduation. Moreover it was an remarkable experience filled with knowledge.

 I'm very glad to hear that something which started from the corner of chemistry department, now it's growing like a tree and stepping towards the world of degital platform...

CHEM-WHIZ is an innovative platform that enables one to learn chemistry in an attractive way. It is a collage of astonishing facts, brain storming questions, informative write ups by persons like M. R.
Nagaraju sir, puzzles,  chemistry cartoons, interview articles and much more.

When I was in the CHEM WHIZ team as a student in the year 2015, we went to Shri Nagendra Muthmurdu's house for an interview it was an awesome experience.  Being a splendid photographer he explained many amazing stories behind the spectacular photographs. 

Later as a faculty in the chemistry department, I visited Shri Neernalli Ganapati's home for the interview. I was fortunate to witness his great art works and to get a caricature as well.

Providing an online platform for CHEM WHIZ facilitates everyone to access its content from anywhere and anytime. Reaching a larger part of society and their involvement  motivates everyone to innovate, learn and to expand their horizon.
